Felicity™ (FL 17 15-86 cv) (Short day)

Fruit & Plant Characteristics

Glossy medium to dark red, uniformly conical berries, firm texture with a crisp bite. Fruit size is large and firm. Good sweetnexx with a bright, refreshing flavour. Semi upright plant with medium vigour and an open canopy that facilitates easy harvest.

Field Production Notes

High-yielding and uniform fruit set; particularly valued in export markets. Holds good size and firmness through the main harvest window. • Firm fruit with fine skin, calcium-based treatments recommended under warm conditions to reduce bruising.

Disease & Pest Resistance

Good field tolerance under standard preventative programmes. Generally performs well against Botrytis and crown rots.

Sensation™ (FL 09 127cv) (Short day)

Fruit & Plant Characteristics

Very large, uniform, conical, glossy fruit with exceptional flavour and sweetness (high °Brix). Attractive appearance; firm texture with excellent eating quality. The plant is moderately vigorous, with an open canopy allowing easy harvest. No overly elongated fruit, even when exposed to hot weather

Field Production Notes

Highly popular for premium fresh markets due to consistent large size and flavour. Moderate to good yield performance. Ideal for open fields. Ideally planted end March. Harvest season extends well into late production windows; fruit size holds late.

Disease & Pest Resistance

Open plant habit provides some tolerance to Botrytis, maintaining balanced vigour during the fruiting period and applying effective fungicides at peak bloom are recommended for optimal control. Resistant to anthracnose fruit rot and crown rot and good tolerance to charcoal rot. Preventive fungicide programs against Phytophthora are recommended in humid or poorly drained soils..

Fortuna™ (Florida Fortuna cv) (Short day)

Fruit & Plant Characteristics

Large, conical berries with bright external colour; consistent size. Balanced sweetness and acidity; good firmness for shipping. The plant is moderately vigorous with an upright habit and strong crown development.

Field Production Notes

Very high yield potential. Suggested planting the second week in March. Performs well in winter production regions.

Disease & Pest Resistance

Moderately resistant to Anthracnose and powdery mildew. Susceptible to Botrytis and Phytophthora crown rot. Preventative programmes are recommended under humid conditions to protect crowns and fruit quality.

Beauty™ (FL12 121 5cv) (Day Neutral)

Fruit & Plant Characteristics

Medium-large fruit with deep red colour, high °Brix and aromatic flavour. Fruit firmness moderate; excellent for local/fresh markets. Compact plant; adapted to early establishment and open-field culture.

Field Production Notes

Very early fruiting variety; ideal for very early market windows when planted for winter production. Its day-neutral habit allows flexible planting and production wherever temperatures permit. Best suited for quick shipping, where its juicy texture and excellent flavour can be fully appreciated. Fruit firmness is adequate for standard handling but not optimised for extended export. Excellent rain tolerance. Beauty requires an active fertilisation regime during the initial growth phase to ensure sufficient vegetative development before flowering. Maintain high nitrogen levels during the early phase to ensure balanced development.

Disease & Pest Resistance

Moderately resistant to Phytophthora cactorum. Preventative fungicide programmes against powdery mildew and Colletotrichum are recommended to ensure optimal plant health throughout the season conditions.

Medallion™ (FL 16.30-128cv) (Short day)

Fruit & Plant Characteristics

Medium - Large, uniform fruit with bright external colour and excellent postharvest life. Stands out for its exceptional flavour balance – a sweet, aromatic profile that outperforms most early Florida varieties. Robust plant architecture with moderate vigour.

Field Production Notes

Suggested planting in March. Very early profile with strong early yields. Open field variety. Can be targeted for heavier, wetter soils. Good fruit holding ability; suited for long-distance shipping.

Disease & Pest Resistance

Moderately susceptible to Botrytis, powdery mildew and anthracnose. Preventative crown protection programmes are recommended under warm, humid conditions. It is susceptible to charcoal rot.

Ember™ (FL 20.80-4cv) (Short day)

Fruit & Plant Characteristics

Bright red external colour; excellent overall fruit quality with sweetness and flavour comparable to Florida Medallion™. Robust but compact plant; good rain tolerance; suitable for organic production systems.

Field Production Notes

Steady yield profile across the season; good early output reported in Florida open-field systems. Ideally planted early March

Disease & Pest Resistance

Lower susceptibility to Neopestalotiopsis spp. (formerly Pestalotia/Neopestalotiopsis) especially on fruit. Described as having an excellent overall disease-resistance package for UF releases.

Encore™ (FL 20.34-183cv) (Short day)

Fruit & Plant Characteristics

Vigorous plant with large, well-shaped fruit and strong external colour. Well suited to sandy soils. Reflexed calyx that aids drying and helps limit Botrytis risk around pedicel.

Field Production Notes

High early yields with heavy fruit load on the first inflorescence. Performs well when planted March between March and April. Robust growth suitable for sandy soils; manage vigor to maintain fruit size and quality.

Disease & Pest Resistance

Moderate resistance to Phytophthora cactorum (crown/root rot). Upward reflexed calyx trait assists against Botrytis by improving drying after wetting events (cultural resistance).
