Palmeritas® (A13-29) (Short day)

Fruit & Plant Characteristics

Medium plant size with erect/upright habit (high-density friendly). Medium to large conical fruit shape. Firm fruit with good postharvest; reported °Brix around ~8 in comparative trials; good organoleptic profile.

Field Production Notes

Easy to grow; high yield potential (reportedly ~1,000 g+ per plant in trials). Outstanding shipping ability; suitable for exporter supply chains. Planting period between 1-20 March. Adapts to multiple soil types, including heavier soils.

Disease & Pest Resistance

Excellent resistance to Phytophthora cactorum and powdery mildew. Good tolerance to aphids.

Leticia® (A15-17)

Fruit & Plant Characteristics

Distinctive bright red colour with exceptional natural gloss, aromatic, sweet flavour; good firmness and keeping quality, Brix 9.3%. Rustic plant with balanced growth and good fruit visibility for easy harvesting.

Field Production Notes

Very vigorous, rustic plant. Strong average yield (≈1,000–1,100 g/plant). Good shelf life; performs well in warm conditions.

Disease & Pest Resistance

Exceptional overall disease resistance. Particularly tolerant to powdery mildew, Fusarium spp., Colletotrichum acutatum (anthracnose), and Macrophomina phaseolina (charcoal rot).

Cleopatra™ (MC 1820)

Fruit & Plant Characteristics

Good brix with an excellent crunchy texture, well-sized, attractive berry with strong external colour and long shelf life. Early-producing variety; with attractive, well coloured, conical-elongated fruit, suited to both fresh and IQF markets due to texture and firmness.

Field Production Notes

Early harvesting profile. Suitable for early-season programs, manage for earliness and uniform fruit size. Upright, moderately vigorous, rustic plant with an open habit.

Disease & Pest Resistance

Good tolerance to soil-borne diseases. Moderate sensitivity to powdery mildew. Preventative programs are advised under humid conditions to maintain fruit quality.
